A responsible adult should bring all Foundation Stage,  KS1 and Year 3 & 4 children to school. The children should remain with this adult until they are handed over to their teacher. It is very important that all children arrive and are collected promptly. If parents are running late please let the school office know as soon as you can. Staff will remain with the children until 3:30pm when they will be taken to the school office. If they have not been collected by 3:40pm they will be taken to After School Club and will incur a charge.

KS2 children from years 5 and 6 may walk home if parents have completed the google form giving permission at the start of each academic year.

Year 5 & 6 Permission to Walk Home

NOTE: This does not mean they will be allowed to walk home from clubs, events that run later into the evening or if school ends earlier than expected in an emergency.  Children will not be allowed to leave school  unaccompanied for medical or other appointments.

If you are unable to collect your child and ask someone else to do so on your behalf, please let the office know through email or telephone call. Please do not say it in passing to a member of staff as you drop your child off, as messages can sometimes get forgotten at the busy start of the day. Staff are not allowed to hand over any pupil to someone other than the authorised people recorded on our system. So to avoid any embarrassment, please let the office know who will pass the message to the appropriate staff member.

Please do not arrange for appointments to be taken during school hours. Should you need to collect your child during school hours for whatever reason, please notify the school office beforehand. All parents must report to the school office and sign their child out of school.

School is a very big and busy place and we cannot always get your child ready for collection at a moment’s notice.
