Our aim at Oakmere Primary and Nursery School is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where your child will thrive and have the best possible start to school life.
We provide access a broad and balanced curriculum that gives children the foundation needed for good progress through school and life. We have a fantastic team in our nursery who provide quality and consistency in teaching and learning so that every child makes good progress and no child gets left behind. We pride ourselves in building positive partnerships between staff and parents and/or carers.
Parents can apply for a Nursery place at Oakmere Primary and Nursery School for the academic year in which their child turns four years of age. If you are eligible for the 30 hours free childcare, you may make an application for your child to start the term following their third birthday. The eligibility criteria can be found on www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/parents. Your child could then benefit from an additional full year in Nursery before starting full time school. The process of applying for a Nursery place at Oakmere is done online by downloading the applications form (below) or by collecting an application form from the School Office. Parents/carers are required to fill a form in and return it before a given date ( see timeline below).
